KingKira’s View: One and Murata came through with an amazing chapter as the epic battle between Tatsumaki and Psyrochi continued. We picked up from the last chapter as Tatsumaki continues to evade several beams from Psyrochi. We see King & Tareo trying to escape from the chaos of the battle while some civilians hopelessly witness a massive tsunami coming their way, Tatsumaki halts the tsunami by pulling up several massive chunks of earth from underwater, she then tosses them all at Psyrochi, Psyrochi retaliates by destroying the boulders with her beam, Tats evades the beam and catches Psyrochi off-guard with a boulder barrage which is easily destroyed. The two continued to clash causing a huge spiral in the clouds, Lightening Max and Snek observed from a distance and gave us confirmation that the Psyrochi fusion is red which is cool. Tatsumaki gains the upper hand in the fight after Outsmarting Psykos by hiding a decoy inside a boulder and using the opportunity to sneak into Psyrochi’s body from underneath the Monster association base, Tats proceeds to brutally destroy Psyrochi from inside out.
Tatsumaki thinks the job is done and begins to rescue the S-class heroes she hid in the hideout, unfortunately for her Psyrochi (I see you Orochi) regenerates, stabs Tatsumaki’s two palms and releases energy that shocks Tats. Meanwhile, a naked Puri lands on Atomic samurai after Tats barrier seems to have worn off as a result of Psyrochi’s attack, Atomic didn’t look too happy but we can’t say the same for Puri. Psyrochi regenerates and charges up another beam to fire Tats at point-blank range, best boy Genos deflects Psyrochi’s attack high into the clouds with a blast of his own and makes an epic entrance with his blue dragon 10-second mode. Genos made all of us proud by performing his biggest feat in the series yet, look at how far our boy has come. Genos fires the lightening drill cannon while Psyrochi fires another beam directly at Genos, Genos gets pushed back by Psyrochi’s beam but sustains no damage, Psyrochi fires multiple beams at Genos who retaliates with beams of his, as they clash Tats scolds Genos for saving her (typical). Tats decides to use this opportunity to save more heroes in the MA hideout as we see an appearance from Fubuki, Bang & Bomb. An angry Psyrochi faces off against Genos & Tatsumaki. The chapter rounds up with a funny scene of Saitama and co chilling underground, Manako helps Saitama unlock his final form and Flashy looks relieved that no other heroes know of his current predicament. Really good chapter this week, Genos’ arrival has spiced up the battlefield and I hope we get to see some more cool attacks in this mode.
KingKira’s character of the week: I’m glad to announce that our boy Genos takes it this time around with his awesome entrance and spectacular 10-second blue dragon mode, he also saved Tatsumaki. Shoutout to Tatsumaki for stopping the tsunami and displaying good battle prowess to outsmart Psykos.
KingKira’s best scene: It was extremely tough to pick between Tatsumaki’s huge rock barrage display and Genos’ dynamic entry but I’ll go for the Tats show. The scale of the attack and the fluid action sequences are the main reasons for my choice.
KingKira’s best panel: The opening double spread showing Tatsumaki evading Psyrochi’s beams takes it for me, Genos forming the lightening drill cannon is my runner-up. Murata is limitless.
Judgment: Fantastic chapter, it met all my needs, we got ridiculous action scenes and feats, best boy Genos returned with a bang, the usual top tier fanservice and Saitama is hanging out with friends I guess. 10/10
