Shu

Hello little dreamers. Just as my title (and blog description, obvi) says, I’m reviewing something again! Hurrah!

Today I will bring you an old faithful, I believe literally EVERYONE should know about this product. It has been much raved by bloggers, youtubers, and just generally everyone. I don’t think I’ve yet to met a girl who don’t know this product. The reason why I want to talk about this product today is because it’s such a classic toner, and gets so so much hype. Ahh, I think someone will definitely disagree and hate me for this, but maybe a little too much hype? AHEM. Let’s get into it!

(If you are super impatient though, just scroll to the bottom for the rating! I won’t hate you! No guarantees though.)

So first thing’s first, it’s for dry skin, even though I know some oily girls use it too (haven’t heard anything negative about the effects). It has no scent, and the texture is very thick, but still silky and smooth. It feels very rich and creamy, and kind of reminds you of a thinner lotion rather than a refreshing toner. Which I guess is also the reason why it is not suggested for oily gals. The way I apply it is that I directly pour it onto my palm, and then pat my face with my hands. Due to the thickness of this toner, I find it hard to use a cotton pad (also as I mentioned in the previous post, you waste more product with cotton pads!).

What I liked about this toner is the thickness of it. It always gives me such a refreshing and moisturizing feeling after I apply it on my face. I just feel so pampered afterwards (there is a HUGE but though). And okay, let’s face it. THE PACKAGING. It is freaking adorable. The classy bottle with its thick pink liquid inside, and its fancy french name. Oh man. Who can resist?

What I disliked about this product is that after the initial hype, I didn’t find it doing much for my skin. It made me feel pampered all right, but that’s IT. In fact, I don’t think it did anything for my skin. It did NOT hydrate my skin like it promised (but neither did it do anything bad for my skin, so…yay?).

SO yeah. There’s my two cents on this product.

If you’re a dry skin girl looking for something to hydrate that desert, I’d suggest looking into something else. (Like the Caudalie Moisturizing Toner)

If you’re an oily skin girl.. uhm. just no.

BUT, if you just want to add this baby to your collection cause you like the packaging and have money to spare, then go for it! It is not terribly expensive (it sells for $28.00US in Sephora, but the cheapest I’ve seen this product go for is $22.00US), and for the sole purpose of decoration, this baby will definitely add some class into that skincare collection!

RATING; ✮✮✮☆☆

*I justify the three stars because it didn’t damage my skin or made me break out, and (of course) the packaging is cute.
