Ở giai đoạn ôn đề thi tiếng Anh cuối kì 2 lớp 5, học sinh không cần học ngữ pháp theo kiểu quá nặng lý thuyết, mà nên bám vào các mẫu câu trọng tâm xuất hiện trong từng unit.

Điểm quan trọng là nhận ra mỗi bài học trong sách Global Success đều xoay quanh một nhóm cấu trúc giao tiếp rất rõ: hỏi về việc đã làm trong quá khứ, nói về dự định, hỏi sức khỏe, miêu tả thời tiết, kể về nhân vật truyện, hỏi đường, nhận xét địa điểm và nói về kế hoạch nghỉ hè.
